Lovely to be able to go to open-air theatre in the summer – a bit cold by the end, but a most enjoyable evening in the Kilkenny Castle grounds, as part of Kilkenny Arts Festival.
“The Tempest” was our 2nd Leaving Cert Shakespeare play (after “King Lear”) – always loved it. And Bravo Rough Magic Theatre Company for this wonderful production, clever set & score, atmospheric lighting, intelligent ever-flowing production and a strong cast with clear diction, great comedy, and a cast who made sense of the text. Thanks to Rough Magic also for one of the pics below.
And for fans of Derry Girls – Prospero was played by ‘Auntie Bridie’ – just fabulous on every level.
Highly recommend it! ![]()
