What a privilege to be present last night at the Kilkenny Arts Festival concert in magnificent St Canice’s Cathedral with (perhaps?) the ‘Queen of Crossover’ – Anne Sofie von Otter and the stellar Brooklyn Rider String Quartet, in a programme of Schubert & Rufus Wainwright!
This Quintet of voices managed, in a huge cathedral space, to create an intimate evening of real music-making.
A privilege on every level.
And all preceded by a return to the award-winning Ristorante Rinuccini – love that place!
