Celtic Tenors 2024
It was the first time that I was in the Netherlands for the whole tour of The Celtic Tenors. I had a great time with Ali, I could stay there…not that often because most of the time we were on the way…
But from the beginning:
I am Christel. I’m living in Berlin. I met Ali years ago, of course at a concert of the Celtic Tenors. From this time on we met in the Netherlands or in Germany. We always had so much fun😊.
The anticipation for the 2024 tour was not with us:
My train ticket was already bought, Deutsche Bahn (DB) was striking…
Going by plane? Airports striking…
Going by bus? More than 12 hours travelling…
A little time after all troubles were gone I could travel. The train was in time and Ali was waiting at the station. We both were so happy!
All troubles were forgotten at the moment we sat in the audience. I can not explain how much fun we had. The music and the shows were wonderful. To see the guys, to hear them sing and see them acting was G R E A T and…what a surprise, they had a new MD! The next surprise, for the first time the MD was a woman. Such a nice lady, Hannah, she did a very good job! We loved to see and hear her from the first to the last concert. Hopefully she will stay with The Celtic Tenors. We would love that.
I always enjoyed the shows, but this time it was so different to all the others. It seems they were relaxed from the first to the last minute.
We met some known fans from the Netherlands and some from Germany. We had a good time together and I hope we’ll see each other again soon.
This tour was very tiring for me. I think I will not do a whole tour again. Just a few days off, nearly every night in a strange bed, going by train and/or bus from one venue to the next and always with the suitcase. For me it was stressful…I am too old for those things.
But nevertheless I had so much fun and enjoyed the time. I don’t regret it. Thanks to Ali who did the organisation for me.
No set list as Ali already had it on her review.

je kent me misschien van verhalen van Ali, en zo heb ik jou ook een beetje leren kennen.🫣 Ik ken Ali via fb en we hebben zo af en toe een pannenkoekdate en tevens me-time = our time. Maar altijd oergezellig.
Ik kan niet goed engels maar zover ik het begrijp hebben jullie een op en top leuke tijd gehad.
Fijn, dat pakken ze niet meer af.

Fingers crossed that you don’t have troubles with public transport next time you go to the Netherlands.
Maybe we should ask the Celtic Tenors that we wouldn’t mind a few concerts in Germany? 😉
