Event Announcement! In James Nelson’s first solo show ‘Singing for his Supper’, hear his ‘up close and personal’ take on life – on the road and at home – with a selection of songs to warm the heart on Tuesday, July 23rd at The Church of Ireland.
The Sligo tenor has criss-crossed the world for over 30 years and is perhaps best known as one third of the international crossover group – The Celtic Tenors.
James Nelson is a BA.,B.Mus (Hons) UCD graduate. James has performed worldwide from an oratorio repertoire of 60+ works, including “L’enfance du Christ” (with Katia Riciarelli) in Rome and Florence, “Golgotha” in Bern and Zürich, and 50+ operatic roles with Scottish Opera, Singapore Lyric, and more, plus leading roles in “Butterfly”, “Onegin”, “Katya”, “Traviata”, “Wiener Blut”, “Grand Duchess of Gerolstein” and “Figaro” to name a few.
