It has been a while since I have written a concert review so I will endeavor to try to remember each and every moment of the concert from last night.
This was one of the rescheduled/postponed concerts prior to shut down in March 2020. Before the World closed its doors to travellers all over the World.
The Celtic Tenors concert was at the Burton Cummings theatre last night and all I can tell you was that their voices soared to the rafters. And even though it was a sparse crowd they were able to make up for it with their enthusiastic clapping after each of the songs.
I have been a fan of the Celtic Tenors since 2001, not just a fan, a Super Fan. I have even moderated their International Yahoo Fan Club for some 12 years. I have followed them all over Canada and the U.S. I am not what you would call a Groupie, but a Fan of some of the nicest people that you will ever meet and that they just happen to sing not only Irish but Contemporary songs as well. I have been privileged to know them and I hope dear reader that you get the opportunity to attend one of their concerts. It will be well worth 2 hours of your time.
While most of their songs on this tour are from their Irish Song book, others like Ed Sheeran’s Perfect Symphony are more recent add-ons. And if you have one addressed to you personally, well, all I can say is that it was perfectly Swoon Worthy! These songs are in no particular order and I hope that I have not missed any.
A Celtic Tenors Concert is not to be complete without the usual Dad Jokes and Puns, including one made by James about our pot holes in our roads on the way from the airport here in Town, leading into The Rocky Road to Winterpeg! (AKA Dublin).
