Always exciting when a new CD is coming.
Although never as exciting as it was searching for the ‘older’ CD’s after I discovered The Celtic Tenors…but that is a different story…
-Song for Ireland – A song they performed a few times. Dutch Tour 2008. I love the song and I was very happy to find it on this CD.
-I’ll Tell Me Ma – A nice little sing-along song. We were taught that a girl could be a lot of things, but not handsome. In this song ‘she’ is handsome and pretty!
-The Dutchman – This one brought tears to my eyes…and sometimes it still does. Have to think about it and all the people with a kind of dementia when I do my volunteering work in a nursing home.
-Isle of Hope, Isle of Tears
-The Isle of Innisfree – Love this song. Special memories. In 2007 I had a boat trip with the ‘Rose of Innisfree’. Captain/entertainer George recited Yeats’ poem and played us ‘The isle of Innisfree’ (from his mobile if I remember well).
-Carrickfergus
-The Rocky Road to Dublin

The first time I heard it (April 2013) I didn’t want to spoil the surprise for others who would attend a later concert that tour. Not many people understood the hint…
Te next 5 songs I knew from other artists. Glad that these made it to the CD.
-The Mountains of Mourne
-The Salley Gardens
-Red is the Rose
-Sweet Sixteen
-The Parting Glass
Just a few up tempo songs. The others are what I like the most…so I really love, love, love this CD!
