I didn’t make photos for myself, so I stole one from the official Celtic Tenors website. This choice has a reason. A reason that I will not tell you yet. Later…promised😉.

Setlist
– Red is the rose and they encouraged us to sing along with the chorus. Not sure if I like that. Oh yes, I like to sing along…alone in my car. Not really when I am in front row. They can hear me. Whatever we survived🤪. We is The Celtic Tenors and the audience…
– Isle of hope, isle of tears. Touching as always.
– Rocky road to Dublin. It was a bit different. Not sure yet what to think of it…
– Forever young. The joke was done by Daryl instead of Matthew. Hm, an ongoing project must be changed a bit.
– Libiamo. Of course we were invited to sing along. According to James, our singing was ‘beeldschoon’😄.
– Perfect. Dedicated to Elisabeth for her 70th birthday. During the introduction Daryl played a few intros.
– Solo Brian with Daryl on piano.
– I’ll tell me Ma. Almost forgot to clap haha. It was too long ago.
– Carrickfergus. We heard that one before as Daryl’s solo.
– The Dutchman. It still brings tears to my eyes when I hear it live. This one also was a bit different…Matthew didn’t mention the love in the whiskey!
– The holy city. Always good for some emotions. They said that their Dutch was a bit rusty, but James’ Prettige Paasdagen (Happy Easter) sounded like before. That made Daryl say, pointing to James, ‘My personal translator’.
Then the second half
– Solo Brian
– Fare thee well. I remember that I heard this song when I attended my very first CT concert. Does anyone remember what Colm Rogan in his MD time did with special effects? Pretty obvious that I do🤣. No explanation of the story this time.
– Four strong winds. Again singing along.
– Annie’s song. From Daryl’s solo CD. Here he told something about locvk down times at home…with 3 children now.
– The Boxer. I remember the first time I heard this one. That was pretty special.
– Galileo. Now Matthew told something about the lock down time. He went back to what he studied…engineering.
– Calypso. One of the favorites of Christel. Of course we were asked to yodel with them😁.
– In my daughter’s eyes. Some of the ‘old’ jokes were back…
– Whiskey in the jar. We had to exercise the clapping! 4 times and then 2 times. Think I’ll do it automatically when someone wakes me up and plays it for me. They left out things that never bored us (and I attended many concerts..).
– The parting glas. Always loved this song. Long before I discovered the CT.
– Remember me. Especially thinking of Ukraine these days (weeks). Still piano in the trenches…
The encore was Nessun Dorma. Can you believe that I missed even that song. No choir needed this time. Pity or not?
All in all was it great to be able to attend a CT concert again. The last one was in November 2019 in Germany.
Just one more thing…especially to let some people laugh and laugh and laugh again..I had to think of the Irish Christmas Tour 2018. This is for people who know me (very) well. For the others: see it as an inside joke😉.
