Happy to announce that in between all of our Celtic Tenors tours, this May I’m getting the opportunity to once again briefly return to my opera roots, singing the character/ensemble role of Gherardo, one of the nasty money-grabbing relatives in Puccini’s only comic opera “Gianni Schicchi” with the Blackwater Valley Opera Festival at the end of May, in the stunning surrounds of Lismore Castle.
Last time I sang this fun role was with Opera Holland Park in London in the late 1990s, just before becoming a Celtic Tenor – see the faded mafia-style picture below!
